02

On arrival

Safe unloading isa shared priority.

Customer responsibility

People, equipment and a safe unloading area.

Glideline is a supply-only manufacturer. The customer must provide suitable labour and equipment to unload the order safely. Our driver will position the vehicle where it is safe and reasonably practical to do so.

The driver

Delivery vehicle and packaged order.

The driver manages the vehicle and delivery sequence. They may stop or refuse unloading if the location or proposed method is unsafe.

The site

Access must match the information supplied.

If safe access or unloading is not available, delivery may need to be rearranged and additional charges may apply.

Before the vehicle leaves

Check. Record.Protect.

A quick, careful check at handover gives everyone a clear record of the delivery condition.

01

Count the items

Compare the delivered packages with the delivery note and identify any obvious shortage.

02

Inspect the packaging

Look for impact, crushing, tears, exposed glass or other visible signs of possible damage.

03

Note any concern

Record shortages or visible damage clearly on the proof of delivery before signing. Take photographs where possible.

04

Report promptly

Contact your Glideline order representative within the reporting period stated in the applicable terms and conditions.

After unloading

Store productscarefully.

  • Keep products secure, dry and protected from site traffic and follow-on trades.
  • Support frames and glass correctly without twisting, bowing or concentrating loads.
  • Do not drag packaged products or place them directly on wet or abrasive surfaces.
  • Keep labels and protective packaging in place until the product is required.
  • Do not leave protective films exposed longer than the product instructions allow.

Delivery questions

Useful to know.

Will I receive an exact delivery time?

Delivery timings are estimates rather than guaranteed appointments. Route conditions, traffic and earlier deliveries can change the arrival time. Your order contact will provide the best available information.

Does the driver unload the products?

The customer is responsible for providing adequate labour and equipment for unloading unless another arrangement has been confirmed by Glideline in writing before delivery.

What if access is restricted?

Tell us before the delivery is arranged. Include photographs, road width, gate dimensions, turning restrictions, low trees or cables, weight limits and parking controls so the route can be reviewed.

What if nobody is ready to receive the order?

The driver cannot leave products unattended without prior written agreement. The delivery may need to be returned or rearranged, and additional delivery or handling charges may apply.

What should I do if something looks damaged?

Photograph the packaging and affected area, note the issue on the proof of delivery and contact your Glideline order representative promptly. Do not install a visibly damaged item before receiving guidance.
